🌿 Purpose: Fundraiser for the Frontenac Arch Biosphere Network

An Evening About What’s Possible

Join the Frontenac Arch Biosphere Network for a special fundraising event bringing our community together around hope, resilience, and practical environmental solutions.

The evening begins with a screening of the acclaimed documentary 2040, followed by a live talk and audience Q&A with Cedric Pepelea — a thoughtful and engaging voice on sustainability, community resilience, and the opportunities already emerging in regions like ours.

Whether you’ve supported FABN for years or are simply looking for a hopeful, grounded conversation about the future, we’d love to have you there.

Following the film, Cedric Pepelea will explore:

  • what real climate and sustainability solutions look like in practice
  • where communities are already making progress
  • what’s happening across Eastern Ontario and the Frontenac Arch region
  • and how local action can help shape a healthier, more resilient future

Rather than focusing only on challenges, this conversation is about momentum, possibility, and the power of communities to create meaningful change close to home.

Audience Q&A will follow the talk.

About the Film: 2040

Created by award-winning filmmaker Damon Gameau, 2040 offers a refreshing alternative to the usual climate narrative. Instead of asking “what could go wrong?”, the film asks: What if we simply scaled the solutions that already work?

Through stunning visuals and real-world examples, the documentary explores innovations in renewable energy, regenerative agriculture, local food systems, community design, and ecological restoration.

The result is a hopeful and deeply practical vision of the future — one grounded not in fantasy, but in solutions already underway today.
